Green Key

Green Key is an environmental certification that has been voluntarily obtained by over 3,200 different tourist facilities in 65 countries.

The Green Key certificate is a leading standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. It represents a commitment by businesses to adhere to the strict criteria stipulated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The Green Key environmental label assures all guests that by choosing a certified tourist facility, they are directly contributing to environmental conservation.

In 2016, Slovenia became the first country in the world to receive the title of a green destination. Over 60% of Slovenia is covered with forests, making it one of the most forested countries in the world. In addition to forests, our country is characterized by numerous rivers, lakes, the sea, hills, plateaus, mountains, and vineyards, all of which place Slovenia among the most dynamic and beautiful countries in the world.

A piece of this paradise on earth is also Dolenjska and our vineyard hill Grčevje, located opposite the Gorjanci Mountains (1,170 meters), with the Krka River connecting us. This region offers numerous activities for locals and visitors. At an elevation of 500 meters, you can enjoy exceptional views, tranquility, and above all, the green color of our vineyards, meadows, and forests. In autumn, when nature is particularly charming, this green transforms into beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and red. Romantic mornings and sunsets, birdsong and chirping, peace and silence will allow you to connect with yourself and enjoy heartwarming moments with your loved ones.

In order to not only preserve but also enhance all of this, we have decided to obtain the environmental certification "Green Key." To this end, we adopt environmentally friendly practices in all areas of our business and aim to raise awareness among our visitors, guests, friends, and relatives. We will continuously follow trends and seek new solutions for responsible management of natural resources, as well as for efficient use of electricity and heat energy. In doing so, we benefit nature, ourselves, and you, our dear visitors, as we strive to provide you with the most optimal and pristine natural environment. We would be grateful if you could respect and follow our advice and thus contribute together with us to the preservation of the environment. We also welcome your comments and suggestions.
